General Information The Noctua NF-S12 is the first fan employing a novel rotor which was developed by the Austrian Institute for Heat-Transmission and Fan Technology (Österreichisches Institut für Wärmeübertragung und Ventilatorentechnik, ÖIWV). Thanks to the special optimisation of the blade geometry towards ultra low noise application, the Noctua NF-S12 is up to 10% more quiet than current high-end fans at the same flow rate. The fan blades of the Noctua NF-P12 are equipped with vortex control notches which reduce the noise of the airflow. The fan is suitable for use with CPU-heatsinks or radiators but it fit also chassis cooling needs. The Noctua NF-P12 starts at 4volts that make it perfect for use with a fan controller beacuse it can run at very low speed. The Nocuta NF-P12 series are equipped with a magnetically centred, self lubricating oil-pressure bearing that provides a new level of quietness and long-term stability. The fan includes an adpter for reducting the fan speed to 900 and 1100rpm. The package also includes fan decouplers, fan screws and a 4pin device power to 3pin Molex connector. |
