Fan mounts to fasten fans with discontinued screw-holes

General Information The fan mounts reduce the transmission of vibrations from the fan to the chassis. They?re used instead of fan screws to fasten the fan. Using the fan mounts you get a gap of approx. 1mm between fan and chassis so vibrations cannot be transferred directly. If fans are fastens with screws there?s a direct contact between fan and chassis. Even small vibrations pass to the chassis and get audible although the fan was quiet before mounting it. The chassis works like a speaker. The decoupling of the fan eliminates this effect. The fan mounts are not suitable for fans with continous screw holes (from the top to the bottom of the fan, like a tube). |
