General Information The fan mounts reduce the transmission of vibrations from the fan tothe chassis. They?re used instead of fan screws to fasten the fan.Using the fan mounts you get a gap of approx. 1mm between fan andchassis so vibrations cannot be transferred directly. Iffans are fastens with screws there?s a direct contact between fan andchassis. Even small vibrations pass to the chassis and get audiblealthough the fan was quiet before mounting it. The chassis works like aspeaker. The decoupling of the fan eliminates this effect. The fan mounts are also suitable for fans with continous screw holes. |
