General Information The Verax fan with PWM/T control combines the PWM signal with a temperature control. This avoids short fan speed increases caused by short-term full load situations. The control of the fan speed by the mainboard using PWM is a useful feature. However, it does not consider the temperature of the heatsink which might be relatively cold and so having the ability to absorb the heat. The mainboard simply does not have a sensor for the temperature of the heatsink but the Verax fan does. The influence of the PWM signal increases with the temperature of the heatsink. If the heatsink is really hot the fan will directly increase it?s speed if the mainboard requests a higer speed by the PWM signal. The Verax 92mm PWM/T fan can be either connected 3pin or 4pin. If it?s connected to a 3pole power connector it behaves like a normal temperature controlled fan. So it?s suitable for older systems having only 3pin connectors as well as for new ones with 4pins. |
