Gerneral information The Scythe Samurai ZZ is a compact universal cooler for current AMD and Intel processors. You can use the Scythe Samurai ZZ cooler for all current AMD and Intel processors based on sockets 478/775/1156/1366/754/939/AM2/AM2+/AM3. The cooling system has a total height of 94mm and uses a PWM controlled 25mm thick 92mm fan for cooling. It can also be used on systems without PWM then the fan runs always at full speed. The fan of the Scythe Samurai ZZ cools the components around the CPU socket as well as the lamellas of the heatsink. The integrated heatpipes transfer the heat fast from the copper base to the fins. The base is also constructed as a heatsink for a maximum of cooling power. On socket 775/1156/1366 the cooler mounts with push-pins. On the other sockets it uses the standard retention module of the mainboard. Normally its not necessary to remove the board from the chassis in order to mount the cooler. |
